Yoshi Nakagawa

Welcome to the website!

Born and raised in the Northwest, I have had a love for drawing since I was a child. I took my first art class while studying at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, and pulled my first print in 1999. After college, I went in other directions, teaching English in Japan, learning about sustainable agriculture, and bouncing around from farms, farmers markets, teaching gardening to children, and landscaping. Eight years after pulling the first print, I enrolled in a couple printmaking classes at North Seattle Community College and decided to embrace print arts once again. Currently residing in Seattle, WA, I run a business as a gardener and use the space at Sev Shoon Arts Center, a  printmaking studio in the Ballard neighborhood.
